The Change of Clinical Symptoms and Improvement of CLO Test After Treatment of Antibiotics and Collodial Bumuth in Patients with CLO test Positive

To determine the clinical importance of Helicobacter pylori infection, its association gastritis and the response to drug therapy, patients with CLO positive antral gastritis (n=21) were studied..
Gastroscopy, biopsy and CLO test were performed in patients with dyspeptic symptoms. CLO test is rapid, easy, very sensitive and specific test for detection of Helicobacter pylon. After 2 weeks medication of colloidal bismuth. amoxicillin and tinidazole and 1 week
discontinuation of medication, gastroscopy, biopsy and CLO test at antrum were followed. Gastroscopically partial improvement of antral. gastritis was found in 7 patients. complete improvement was not found. CLO test was negative in 11 patients (52.3%) after treatment. There were 42.9% of partial improved rate in histologic findings, no complete healing. The loss of clinical symptoms was in 61.9% after 2 weeks treatment.
